What Information We Collect and How We Use It?

The Application does not require an account to use, which means we do not collect, store, or have access to your personal entries and data. All data are exclusively stored locally on your device, and all computations are performed there as well. You have the option to backup your data to Google Drive on Android devices or to Apple iCloud on iOS devices. These backups are stored within your personal cloud storage area, which we cannot access.

If you reach out to us for support via email or through our support contact form, we collect your email address. We use this email solely to respond to your queries or send you updates and information that you might find useful.

Data Backup Recommendations

We recommend that users regularly back up their data to prevent loss. You can either manually export your data to local storage or choose to use our cloud backup service, which is a paid subscription feature. Cloud backups are stored securely in your personal cloud account, completely inaccessible to us.

Android and Google Drive Backups

For Android users, backing up data using Google Drive is an option. These backups are placed in the user’s private Google Drive space and will count against their Google Drive storage quota. We ensure that a secure connection is maintained during data transfer and storage. Data is securely stored in a designated folder inaccessible by other apps or us. On Android devices, the app requests email and name permissions to show the account details used for backups within the app interface. This helps inform users about the account associated with their backups. The app does not store email addresses or names internally. It retrieves account information via Google Sign-In only when you access the Backup section. Additionally, even if users consent to the collection of anonymized analytics data, their email addresses and names are never included in the analytics data sent.

iOS and iCloud Backups

iOS users have the option to use iCloud for their backups. These are stored in private iCloud space and are encrypted both in transit and on iCloud. Sensitive data enjoy end-to-end encryption, meaning they can only be accessed on devices logged into iCloud. No one, not even Apple, has access to this encrypted data. Usage Analytics

Our application collects anonymized interaction data that are vital for providing our services, understanding user preferences, and enhancing functionality. This data includes metrics such as app startups, user taps, clicks, scroll actions, in-app purchases, the number of screen views, session lengths, and other user interactions within the app. All collected data are thoroughly anonymized and aggregated, ensuring they are not connected to any identifiable user. The application also gathers information on app crashes and performance metrics to continuously improve its stability and overall performance.

Importantly, the application does not capture any user-generated content. This means it does not collect personal details such as your name, email address, photos, or any text you enter within the app. Your entries and the content you create remain confidential and entirely under your control.

Photo Storage

You may attach photos to your entries. These are stored locally on your device and included in backups if you choose to use cloud storage services. Photos stored in the cloud are private and count towards your cloud storage limit.
